How do I know if I’m depressed?

The term “depressed” gets thrown around a lot, sometimes making it difficult to understand and validate your own experience and get help that you deserve. Here are some signs you might be suffering from depression:

  • Feeling hopeless
  • Loss of interest in things you once enjoyed
  • Increased fatigue
  • Irritability
  • Changes in weight
  • Trouble concentrating, remembering detail, and making decisions
  • Sleeping too much or too little
  • Feeling “empty”
  • Suicidal thoughts or attempts

Where do I start?

Major depressive disorder tells you change is overwhelming and insurmountable, it tells you that you can’t do it. The good news is that you don’t have to do it all today, today you just need to take a step. I will support, encourage and help you create a manageable path forward to regaining your old self.
